Elicit Records

Visual identity, album artwork cover and motion design for the Rotterdam-via-London label Elicit Records, founded by Eddy Kennedy (Kessler) and Leeven Dawit (Koboro).

The first release, ELCT001 Lunar produced by Kessler, explores the realms of intricate drum & bass, futuristic IDM, and synth laden post-dubstep. The atmospheric and textural sounds of the EP, combined with the dynamic and energetic bmp inspired the visual research into electric discharge. The old photographs by Thomas Burton Kinrade were vectorised, then sculpted and texturised in 3D and post editing.

The second release, a VA collection inaugurating the Connected series, takes pride in spotlighting the musical prowess of a global roster of talented artists. The 12 track compilation seamlessly navigates a wide array of genres—jungle, footwork, techno, breaks, bass and everything in-between—crafting a dynamic and immersive listening experience.

For this release, an additional motion design visualiser was created to accompany the music.
