In the age of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision, I got intrigued by how machines see and recognize humans. What makes us so distinguishable? What does it mean to be recognized as human? How does the machine determine that what it sees is a human face? Those straight lines that overlap our face and transform our personal traits into geometric, dry data are the starting point of this project. By merging my face with those exact lines, into a second, artificial skin, I created a mask that blends the two identities we are categorized with: the human and the machine, the natural and the artificial.
