How do certain smells look like?

Virtual Reality is nowadays one of the most used immersive technologies, with the promise of making you experiencing the world at 360 degrees. Although the visual and audible output could be quite strong, it is still lacking the involvement of other senses, like smell.

VR-Scent is an experimental set-up for Virtual Reality that concerns the feature of smell into the visual experience.
Three differently shaped object, carrying different smells (namely: mint, cinnamon and blueberries) are placed in the environment around the user, who is able to reach to them thanks to the same space-ratio both in the physical and the virtual worlds. The proximity to one of the objects let the user perceive the scent while being offered with the visualisation of that smell in the format of an immersive world.
